Sclerotherapy Treatment in Encino – The forefront of Cosmetic Skincare.
It is very common to develop noticeable spider veins particularly on the legs. They are frequently caused by pressure from weight, or standing for long periods of time. Deep red or blue in color, spider veins and reticular veins are often visible on the thighs, lower legs, and back of the knees.
If you feel self-conscious or embarrassed due to unsightly varicose veins, or you avoid wearing certain clothes because of their appearance, taking action to resolve them will help put your mind at ease.
HairFree Laser Center offer pioneering Sclerotherapy Treatment in Encino to remove spider veins and cosmetically improve the appearance of the skin.
What is Sclerotherapy Vein Removal?
Sclerotherapy is an injectable treatment effective in reducing and removing unsightly spider veins and reticular veins. The technique involves inserting a tiny needle into the vein and injecting it with a sclerosing agent. It is an ideal varicose vein treatment for the legs.
HairFree Laser Center is a licensed, U.S. physician-owned, aesthetic medical center. Sclerotherapy treatment in Encino is performed by a fully-qualified doctor or nurse to the highest quality, and safest standards.
Pioneering Sclerotherapy Treatment – Asclera™ Injection
The FDA approved Asclera™ injection is the latest breakthrough in Sclerotherapy treatment in Encino, and specifically offered with HairFree Laser Center.
Asclera™ (Polidocanol) is a medical advancement for the treatment of small spider veins and reticular veins. One of the unique benefits of choosing Asclera™ over alternative sclerotherapy medications is that it has an anesthetic effect causing veins to become numb during injection.
Asclera™ treatment has a safer reputation than previous injection agents. In particular, it is known to cause less irritation and less risk of skin discoloration in the treated area. Asclera™ is a pioneering treatment that delivers consistent results.
How is Asclera™ Treatment carried out?
Asclera™ Injection is administered to treat uncomplicated reticular veins, and spider veins (very small varicose veins ≤ 1 mm in diameter) and occasionally for uncomplicated small varicose veins (1 to 3 mm in diameter).
Known as a sclerosing agent, Asclera™ solution is injected into the affected vein causing the inside cell linings to form a blood clot. This triggers the vein wall to constrict and collapse. The collapsed vein is then reabsorbed by the body.
Depending on the size and location of the veins, and patient medical health, the number of veins to be injected with Asclera™ solution in one treatment will be determined.
After the procedure a compression bandage is applied to the treated area. Patients may experience some mild itching, bruising, and swelling at the site of the injection, however, irritation should subside in the days following treatment.
Patients should wear a compression bandage or stockings after treatment. Within the first few days after treatment you should avoid rigorous activity and sun exposure. Regular walking to promote good circulation after treatment is important.
Further treatment sessions
It is unlikely that spider veins or reticular veins will completely shrink after one set of injections so a course of treatment is recommended. A few weeks after initial treatment further sclerotherapy can be administered. If you have a lot of very small reticular veins it may not be possible to remove them all.
Multiple treatments are usually required depending on the density and severity of the condition. Significant improvements are noticeable with every spider vein treatment at our Encino clinic.
Sessions last 15 to 45 minutes.
A course of 4 – 6 sessions is recommended for best results.
Prior to sclerotherapy treatment in Encino with HairFree Laser Center, you will attend a consultation with one of our medical experts to find out if you are a suitable patient for treatment. Sclerotherapy is not suitable for very large or extensive varicose veins.
